The Lévesques are gathered at the family home on Christmas Eve. But there is a pall over the event: the father, once accustomed to controlling everyone’s life, now suffers from a debilitating case of Parkinson’s. A prisoner in his own body, his children shudder whenever he takes a bite of food. What do you do when you’re with someone for whom all pleasures are denied? In the months that follow, the family remains divided. But the mother’s profound love for her husband, his eldest son André’s friendship and his grandson Sam bring the father the happiness that had always eluded him.
