Plot Summary
Élie is a young outsider who arrives on a North Seas island, a place at the mercy of nature’s brute force. It’s the spring thaw, and the men are busy with the annual seal hunt when the mysterious presence of this foreign woman sparks feelings of both curiosity and mistrust.
