Seville International to Premiere Film at Slamdance, Sales to Launch in Berlin
Montreal – January 22 – In its commitment to bringing strong independent films to audiences around the world, Seville International is pleased to announce that it has secured the sales rights to Pascal Plante’s LES FAUX TATOUAGES (FAKE TATTOOS). Sales of the punk rock romance, will launch at the 2018 Berlin International Film Festival.
From award-winning writer and director Pascal Plante (SHITTY DRUM!, BLUE EYED BLONDE), LES FAUX TATOUAGES stars Anthony Therrien and Rose-Marie Perreault. LES FAUX TATOUAGES (FAKE TATTOOS) marks Plante’s first full-length feature which has already won the award for Best Canadian feature at the 2017 Festival du Nouveau Cinema and is the first French Canadian feature film selected to Slamdance. His previous short film, BLUE-EYED BLONDE won the best Canadian short film award at the 2015 Vancouver International Film Festival and his short film NONNA was selected to be part of Slamdance 2016.

Theo (Therrien) spends his 18th birthday alone, getting drunk at a brutal punk rock show. There, he meets Mag (Perreault), a marginal teenager who invites him to spend the night at her place. A love story unfolds between them, but Theo has to move to a small town at the end of the summer far from a painful past…
